Re: Windows 7 compatibility for User tool
Product
BMC Remedy AR System Server (version 7.1.00)
Environment
DR: AR System Client; Server: Windows Server 2003; Language: English-USA; Database: Microsoft SQL-Server
2000;
Solution
We get the above message "does not reconize OS version" when we use the user tool 7.0.1 or
7.1 with windows 7. User tool 7.5 supports Windows 7 operating system which is also
mentioned in the compatibility matrix, Page no. 6.

There is a limitation, it supports only 32 bit versions of windows 7 OS. Earlier we were able to
install the user tool on 64 bit version of XP but now due to architectural change in windows 7
the aruser.exe is not able to recognize the OS. So only 32 bit is supported.
