You must use the web server's real IP address to bring up the Configuration Tool, not the virtual IP. This is
important, for example, in a load balancing environment. Explicitly configure the mid tier on the actual web
server, not the load balancer. The Configuration Tool will not work as expected if you use a virtual server to open
it.
Also, you need to configure the mid tier for session affinity -- sometimes called the "sticky" setting on some load
balancers -- so that all activity for one session goes to the same web server. A persistent session allows for
report and attachment files to be kept in a session-specific directory, and cleaned up when the session ends.
