Slow response time for LOBs

The response time is slow for large object (LOB) writes when using Oracle with
Sun Solaris and Veritas Volume manager. The following symptoms were found in
internal tests:
An ITSM 7.0 Incident submission took 18 seconds.
The Oracle process clocked CPU for almost the same amount of time (18 seconds).
The arserverd process took approximately 2 seconds of CPU time.
The SQL log from arserver showed an SQL time of approximately 1 second.
The pstack output for the Oracle server process shows a wait on the fdsync system call.

Enable Quick I/O for Oracle database files to resolve the issue.
